ZITTEROW JOINS THE MECHANICS BANK AS CORPORATE LENDING REGION MANAGERRichmond, CA, October 9, 2007— Dave M. Zitterow has joined The Mechanics Bank as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of the Business Banking Division. Zitterow, 35, previously was a Vice President and Senior Commercial Banking Officer with Greater Bay Bancorp, which recently was acquired by Wells Fargo. His 14-year career in banking also has included positions with Bank of Agriculture and Commerce, Westamerica Bank and Wells Fargo. “Dave brings a wealth of lending experience and expertise to The Mechanics Bank,” said Cort O’Haver, Executive Vice President and head of the Corporate Banking Division. “As we continue to expand this important division in an era of unprecedented growth opportunity for us, he will play a critical role.” “Community banking offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to local economic prosperity,” said Zitterow. “The Mechanics Banks has been the premier community bank in Northern California—setting the standard for everyone—and I’m delighted to have a chance to be part of their success.” Zitterow attended California State University in Fresno in Business Administration and Finance.
