MECHANICS BANK INVESTMENT MANAGER TO BE FEATURED AT COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE NETWORKING EVENT
Brian Pretti talks about real estate and the economy
Richmond, CA, April 10, 2008--Brian Pretti, head of Investment Management for Mechanics Bank, will be the featured speaker at the North Bay Business Journal's annual Commercial Real Estate Networking Event Thursday, May 1, 2008, 5;30-7:30 p.m., at the Sheraton Sonoma County in Petaluma.
Pretti, who manages Mechanics Bank's $1.7 billion investment portfolio for wealth management clients, will provide an update on the U.S. economic outlook and what he calls "the most important economic events in more than a generation," as well as how the seismic changes in the credit cycle of the past 20 years will play out for consumers, businesses and the commercial real estate industry.
"The economy is choking on the aftermath of too-easy credit and an unparalleled run-up of debt at all levels of the economy," Pretti says. "We may be seeing nothing less than the end of an economic era."
